Minor League – AA/AAA Division
Double-A (AA)
Designed for players aged 7-8, this level features full kid pitch under Little League pitch limit guidelines. Catchers take on a greater role, while umpires oversee the game, calling balls and strikes. The batting order includes the full roster, though only nine players may be on defense at a time. Players are guaranteed playing time according to Little League rules. Extra-base hits are permitted, and players may steal second or third base once the pitch crosses the plate. They can also advance to second and third on a passed ball or overthrow, but third base remains locked—no advancing home via steal, passed ball, or overthrow during a steal attempt. A team’s turn at bat ends once five runs have been scored or three outs are recorded, until the fourth inning when the run limit is lifted. No new innings begin after 1 hour, 30 minutes of play, and games conclude (drop dead) at 1 hour, 50 minutes.
Triple-A (AAA)
Reserved for players aged 9-10, with some 11-year-olds who aren’t ready for Majors, this division builds upon the principles of Double-A at a more advanced level. Third base is no longer locked, allowing full base-running strategies. The run limit remains at five runs for the first three innings. No new innings begin after 1 hour, 45 minutes of play, and games are stopped (drop dead) at 2 hours, 5 minutes.
